Clean Money/Fair Elections
Full public funding of campaigns. Place this dormant Measure on the 2011 City Ballot for public approval so to eliminate the “Big-Money/Special Interests” dominance of our City Hall leaders’ positions and decisions in their constant favor.
A Collections Sheriff
This person would be empowered to identify and collect the approximate $500 million currently owed to the city of Los Angeles by tax delinquents and scofflaws. By taking action on the outstanding collections, we can help balance the city budget deficit.
A Rate-Payer Advocate
This person would be assigned to the DWP to stop the illegal flow of rate-payer’s funds and utility profits to the City General Fund.
Fair Water Management & Drought Practices
Eliminate the unfair burdens placed on the Los Angeles city homeowners and demand “shared sacrifice”.
Infrastructure Upgrades
Enforce public utilities to execute necessary infrastructure upgrades –thus creating jobs.
Energy-Wise Development
To enhance our community’s character and value, an energy-wise, sustainable and sensible development plan must exist.
Full Funding & Enlargement of the Green Streets Program
New residential streets would be built using materials that hold and contain rainwater, preventing run-off, replenishing the Valley Aquifer and increasing property values.
Cleaner Air Quality
Enforce existing and introduce new municipal codes that improve our quality of life.
A New Solar Power Policy
A policy that includes subsidized home-energy audits, fairly-priced buy-backs to those rate-payers who create more energy than they use, free and open access for all businesses to solar-power providers’ services and green-manufacturing initiatives that could reinvigorate abandoned industrial sites across the Valley, encourage local businesses to grow and create green-industry manufacturing jobs for Valley workers.
